George L. Swanberg, LCSW, LSATP, MAC
George L. Swanberg is a state licensed and nationally certified addictions counselor.
He has worked in and directed addictions and mental health centers for the past
30 years. He functions as the executive director of Life Line Counseling center
and provides individual, family and group counseling to those in the intensive
outpatient treatment addictions program as well as to those in DWI and relapse
prevention aftercare groups each week. |

Maura
K. Swanberg
Maura K. Swanberg is the office manager of the center and is frequently the first
person with whom prospective clients will speak. In addition to her over 20 years’ experience
in the addictions recovery field, Maura is the center’s expert on payment
and insurance issues. |

David
P. Gormley, MD, FAPA
David P. Gormley, psychiatrist, is the Center’s medical director. He has
worked in the field of children’s and adult psychiatry for over 30 years.
He is available by appointment on a self-pay basis at the center on Thursdays. |

Eduardo Paez, MD, LPC, LSATP
Eduardo Paez is a medical doctor and psychiatrist trained in his native Peru
and working with Life Line as an professional counselor specializing in addictions.
Eduardo provides the counseling assessments and group counseling for the
Center’s Spanish language DWI programs. He provides individual and
group therapy for chemically dependent clients as well as those with dual
diagnoses, that is, psychiatric and chemical dependency problems. He also
provides individual and couples counseling. |

Yvonne Capps, CSAC, CDVC
Yvonne Capps is a certified addictions and domestic violence counselor who
comes to the Northern Virginia area from Tennessee where she directed inpatient
and outpatient treatment programs as a licensed therapist. Her therapy
involves not only her expertise in addictions group and individual treatment
but also family approaches emphasizing self-discipline, responsibility,
and spirituality to overcome
Yvonne’s Domestic Violence/Anger Management
Program is designed to help individuals and families identify
and manage those factors that contribute to violent behavior.
Participants develop skills in dealing with anger and conflict
through individual and group counseling sessions. Yvonne helps
clients discover the role that chemical abuse plays in relationships,
family dynamics, and violence in the home. |
