George L. Swanberg, LCSW, LSATP, MAC

George L. Swanberg is a state licensed and nationally certified addictions counselor. He has worked in and directed addictions and mental health centers for the past 30 years. He functions as the Executive Director of Life Line Counseling Center and provides individual, family and group counseling to those in the intensive outpatient treatment addictions program as well as to those in DWI and relapse prevention aftercare groups each week.

Paul Becker, LPC
 
Counseling and writing are second careers for Paul. His first rewarding career, as a Federal Government executive, spanned more than 36 years. 
A life-changing event was his attendance at a Cursillo weekend where he discovered the true meaning of Christ’s love. Subsequently, he joined with other men to share Christ’s love through serving on 31 Kairos weekends at Buckingham State Prison.Working with men in prison led him back to school where he earned a Master’s in Counseling Education. He is licenced in Virginia as a Licenced Professional Counselor. He is the author of six books in the field of sexual addiction. 


David P. Gormley, MD, FAPA

David P. Gormley, psychiatrist, is the Center’s medical director. He has worked in the field of children’s and adult psychiatry for over 30 years. He is available by appointment on a self-pay basis at the center on Thursdays.

 

 






Grissel Velez

Grissel Velez is our newest counselor and she comes to us with 15 years of experience and skilled expertise in mental health and substance abuse counseling. She is bi-lingual and will soon offer counseling in English and Spanish.


Catherine S. Pettit

Cathy is the office manager at Life Line.  She is the center’s expert on payment and insurance issues and can be reached at cpettit@lifelinerecovery.com
